
Under the guidance of Frank Connelly, their first manager, they spent some time on Boston's club circuit. The group began working with Steve Leber (New York) and David Krebs (New York). In 1972 Aerosmith signed a recording agreement and debuted their first album. It was followed by Get Your Wings. Toys in the Attic. Rocks. And Draw the Line. These albums were instrumental in helping Aerosmith gain international recognition. These albums were awash with legendary hits such as "Dream On", Walk This Way, "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way". Aerosmith's first five albums were all multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks have been regarded as among the top hard rock albums ever. As time went on however, the band's life of constant touring, recording and living together started wearing their bodies. Tyler and Perry were often referred to as Toxic Twins, for their famous consumption of stimulants and heroin. Aerosmith Behind the Music contains numerous videos that showcase their friendship. Tyler seemed to be more dedicated to the band was able to feel resentful towards Perry's passive attitude and envied Perry's priority for women in his life. The tension between Tyler, Perry, and their once-friendly girlfriends was apparently one of the main reasons for the gradual decay of Aerosmith in the 1980s.
